Weekly Hostess Spotlight - Girls Night Out for sure!

Our first spotlight in my new "Hostess Spotlight Series" is on Selena Srabian. Meet Selena, mom of 2 boys and wife to a great guy who works for a cool organization—the San Francisco Giants! Selena and I met through Facebook via Market Mommies. We were both commenting on a post and I saw her(and her sister's) company and instantly fell in love! She and her sister started Annie & Isabel, a company whose name is derived from their grandmother and great-grandmother. About them:
We are sisters and registered nurses. Anna works in an Emergency Department and Selena works in an adult Intensive Care Unit. Our many years of working as nurses have made it clear to us that wearing a generic hospital gown is often a patient's number one complaint. We saw an opportunity, with our business, to improve the patient experience by designing gowns that are attractive, comfortable, and, most importantly, completely cover your "backside" : When you look good, you feel better.
If you have an expecting friend or relative, someone you know who might be going through chemo, or just has to be in the hospital you really should buy one of their gowns. I emailed her and asked if she would love for me to do a trunk show for her since I am in SF every July for our Stella & Dot annual Hoopla! Conference and Fashion Show. She immediately said yes and here is how our party panned out. Here is what Selena said of our fun night last July:

Our S&D party was so much fun because we used it as an excuse to have a night where new and old friends came together over FABULOUS jewelry, champagne, and cupcakes... who could ask for anything more?! We've all become so busy in our daily lives, that it was a fun excuse to get sitters and enjoy a girls night IN!

Tracy did everything to prepare for the party... I was seriously amazed at how thorough and organized she was. All I had to do was gather up the emails for my friends and purchase the food and drinks.

My friends LOVED the jewelry! Many of them had not heard of S&D and everyone bought at least one piece. With all my hostess benefits I was able to buy several eclectic and stylish pieces, which I love dressing up and down almost every day! Every time I am wearing something S&D, either at work in the hospital or out and about, someone comments on how much they like what I have on. I even had Tracy send me her business cards so I can carry them in my wallet! People have already started asking me if I'm hosting another party this summer. (Of course, we are!) We made a BIG girls night of our S&D party. We held it at a beautiful condo over-looking the San Francisco Bay.

As we all know, social media has changed our world. Most of us, anyway. I have dived in head first to take on all its advantages, especially in re-connecting with old friends and making new ones. It has done wonders for my business. So much so, that I would like to do a weekly spotlight on some of my past hostesses for some of my Stella & Dot trunk shows to show everyone how fun, unique and easy they have been. Each one is very different, which makes my job so unique and full of variety each week!
Here is the post they did on their blog—so sweet of them!—after our show.
